The Challenge
PivotXY, an early-stage fintech AI startup, needed to transform a technical proof of concept into an investor-ready product.
Before tools like PivotXY, financial consultants often spent significant time gathering information from multiple sources, analyzing company performance, and synthesizing findings into dense reports and presentations. While PivotXY's AI could generate much of that analysis automatically, the experience still felt overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
The challenge wasn't generating more information. It was helping users make sense of it.
The platform needed to transform complex financial analysis into a structured experience that surfaced key insights, provided supporting evidence, and helped executives quickly understand what mattered most.
My Role
As the founding Senior Product Designer, I collaborated with product and UX leadership while owning the design and UI execution of the platform.
I redesigned the Competitive Benchmarking experience, designed the net-new Valuation+ product, and established foundational design systems, component libraries, and developer handoff workflows that enabled future product growth.
A key focus of my work was transforming complex AI-generated financial analysis into experiences that were easier to navigate, understand, and act on.

Expanded the platform from one product to three: Designed Valuation+, an AI-powered valuation and scenario modeling experience that complemented Competitive Benchmarking and supported the company's broader product vision.
Turned analysis into a decision-making experience: Created frameworks for presenting AI-generated financial insights through clear hierarchy, progressive disclosure, and structured storytelling, helping users move from raw analysis to strategic understanding.
Established scalable product foundations: Built the company's first design system, component library, and developer handoff workflow, creating a foundation for efficient product development and future growth.
Positioned the product beyond traditional dashboard: Helped evolve the platform from a technical demonstration into an investor-ready product focused on surfacing insights rather than simply displaying data.
The Solution
I redesigned the Competitive Benchmarking experience and created Valuation+, a new AI-powered valuation and scenario modeling tool.
Rather than presenting users with dense financial analysis all at once, I focused on structuring information into digestible layers. Key findings were surfaced first, supporting evidence was progressively revealed, and complex data was organized into clear narratives that helped users understand relationships, identify trends, and explore deeper analysis when needed.
The result was an experience that transformed large volumes of financial information into a more approachable decision-making workflow while establishing scalable design foundations for future AI-powered products.
